Pik'Bil Scarf Tzikin
Pikbil is the name of a Huipil (blouse) from Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Traditionally warn by mayan women, huipiles holds great cultural significance.
Pikbil technique is almost extinct. The presence of modern clothing and the ratio time/money is dissolving the knowledge. (It takes seven weeks to weave one.)
Vacare in Forma is willing to support the conservation of this human expression.
The mayan tradition and its cosmovision is carried by those threads. This is our sacred relationship to the Cosmos, the Earth and Humanity as One.
Warm up your home with this beautifully hand crafted textile or wear it as a refined garment. Join those who are weaving traditions into modernity.
This one is a Scarf and represents Mountains and Bird on a Corn.
